The latest version of The Shenley Plan has been approved for referendum by Hertsmere Borough Council. However due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, emergency legislation has been passed postponing elections and referendums. The referendum should now take place in May 2021.

In the meantime, Hertsmere have agreed to treat the plan as if it passed referendum and must be considered regarding all planning applications going forward.
